Area Law Enforcement
Roughly fifty automobiles have been marked with what appears to be blood from a person in the Germany's town of Hanau close to Frankfurt, as reported by authorities.
Vehicles, building surfaces and mailboxes were vandalized, in some cases with swastikas, they reported in a official communication.
Police report they were contacted in the late hours on Wednesday evening, when a individual discovered that a automobile in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been smeared with a red-colored liquid.
The substance had been placed in the pattern of a swastika, they reported.
Police then found numerous other smeared vehicles and building exteriors in the nearby vicinity.
Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under laws prohibiting the public display of Nazi symbols.
Law enforcement report early analysis indicate the substance was probably human bodily fluid.
"Currently there is no indication as to its source; authorities are currently not informed of any harm in connection with the event," they stated.
Municipal representatives announced they were working "to solve the mystery" and have requested to the community for details.
A senior political figure said the attack rendered him speechless and needed to be addressed rapidly.
"This incident affects the core of Hanau and reopens the wounds of the right-wing violent incident half a decade ago," he wrote on online, referring to the death of nine individuals by a gunman focusing on people of immigrant origin in five years prior.
