Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Former two-time world title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers participated in the usual face-off, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually happening.
